| The Music is Art High School Awareness Tour is completely self-contained; we only require some basic information about the venue. Once a date is chosen we supply the school with print materials and digital media to assist in promotion. We also contact the school one-week prior to the event to confirm times to load in equipment and cover any last minute production questions. We request that one member of faculty be designated to act as our liaison and handle any questions which may arise.
Added value of the Music Is Art tour is that it can be viewed as a one day seminar on the “business of music”. Interested students are encouraged to engross themselves in many aspects of the industry. From promoting the event to interviewing the band, from documenting the show to assisting with staging and lighting, students are afforded the opportunity to “lend a hand”. Additionally, band members and MIA representatives will be available to discuss careers in the music industry.
Finally, for school security and piece of mind, 48 hours prior to the show, we will provide a list of our crew for check in. Should any local media outlets wish to cover the event, we will submit a request of approval to school administrators.
Thank you for supporting the Music is Art Foundation.
